EST_MW_Proposed Limerick Ambulance Base, Helipad and Regional HQ

Tender description

The site location is identified in drawing 18.058_LAB_A1000_SiteMap in Appendix A, located in the John Carew Park Link Road in Rosbrien. The Project consists of the construction of a new Limerick Ambulance Base and Helipad with associated site works. This is a new build Project, with extensive parking for Staff (40 No. parking spaces, including 3 No. accessible parking bays), Ambulance Fleet Parking suitable for Emergency Ambulances, Intermediate Care Vehicles, Special Operations Trucks, and extensive vehicular routes throughout the Site to enable a smooth flow of traffic, and speedy exit from the Site for National Ambulance Service Fleet vehicles. The Ambulance Base will be operational on a 24-hour basis, all year round. For this reason, an emphasis is put on vehicular circulation throughout the site to ensure efficiency, and safety. Pedestrian access routes are provided, with accessible parking bays located in close proximity to the main entrance. With these parameters considered, the buildable zone is relatively small for the extents of the site, with a footprint of 1670 sq m.
