Provision of Supported Accommodation for Care Experienced Young People in the Falkirk Council area

Tender description

Falkirk Council Children’s Service is seeking a provider(s) to deliver an alternative to continuing care and aftercare in an accommodation based resource. The provider will assist young people to gain the knowledge and skills necessary, and support them to make a successful transition to more independent living. The duration of the Framework is anticipated to be 4 years with the option of a further 3 annual extensions. Lot 1: Provision of Supported Accommodation (Falkirk Council Premises) The accommodation comprises 9, self- contained single occupancy apartments within a 3 storey building. The service to be provided is an accommodation-based housing support service to support 8 young people with eligible after care needs. It is intended that one of the nine self contained apartments will be retained to accommodate emergency placements. It is recognized that the hours of support to each young person will vary depending on the support needs. Some young people may require a significant level of support to develop their ability to live more independently. Access to the service will be provided 24 hours a day, 365/366 days a year. Additional information: The duration of the Framework Agreement is expected to be four years with the option to extend for a further three annual extensions. Lot 2: Provider Solutions for an Accommodation-based Housing Support Service We are inviting Providers to submit their proposals to meet the Lot 2 Outcomes based Specification for the Provision of Supported Accommodation for Care Experienced Young People in the Falkirk Council area. Additional information: The duration of the Framework Agreement is expected to be four years with the option of three annual extensions.
