Tender description

The project involves the demolition of the former Gardenrose Primary School, Maybole together with the disposal of all contents within the buildings, hardstandings, external fittings, asbestos removal, rubbish and debris within the site boundary etc. in order to provide a fully cleared level site.. The project involves the demolition of the former Gardenrose Primary School, Maybole together with the disposal of all contents within the buildings, hardstandings, external fittings, rubbish and debris within the site boundary etc. in order to provide a fully cleared level site. The principal activities to be carried out under the project include the following: - Complete removal of all buildings superstructures and substructures including concrete ground floor slabs and foundations etc. - Asbestos Removal (refer asbestos reports report for locations and recommendations). - Removal of the roof sheeting and roof structure/finishes - Removal of all masonry external fabric - Removal of any steel structures - Removal of floor structure - Grubbing up of slabs and foundations - Removal of all materials - Removal of any required vegetation - Removal of asbestos content products - Removal of all storage materials within Primary School/Rooms including any liquids, etc. - Removal of Education materials to storage containers or similar (client will advise if required prior to demolition works commencing) - Removal of all materials, contents, etc. within the existing buildings - Removal of any small retaining walls within the site - Import and grade of soil & seed on completion - Capping of Drainage to last manhole and removal of services - Protection of neighbouring premises - Traffic Management Requirements - Ensuring neighbouring properties are structurally safe & unaffected. - Import and grade of soil & seed on completion - Installation of fencing to neighbouring properties around site boundary - Removal of external furniture/fittings within the site boundary including furniture within and outwith the tarmac/hard landscaped areas e.g. benches, seating, tree trunks (previously used as play/climbing apparatus), stepping stones, children’s seats/play toadstools/seats etc. - Removal of hardstandings including kerbs, surfacing etc. - Removal of rubbish within the complete site boundary including all former play equipment, huts, temporary buildings, fittings etc. Refer tender documents including PCI, drawings S001-S003 and NBS Specification etc. for further details.
