Innovation-Tech Ecosystem Project in Ukraine. UA 2016

Tender description

The project intends to support the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine (MDT) in furthering the Innovation Strategy of Ukraine, (December of 2023), which aims to build business-enabling regulations and policy measures to boost innovations and the development of the tech sector. The project is a stepping-stone to prepare the ground for longer-term work in the next financial year. Its major focus is on strengthening evidence-based policymaking through rigorous analysis and awareness-building activities to engage the private sector, civil society, and academia in developing government policies to support innovations. To achieve this, the project will focus on the following products: • Building a cross-stakeholder dialogue platform to discuss the objectives, approaches, and policy directions of the GoU upcoming Innovation Strategy of Ukraine; • Producing a set of sectoral assessments and policy recommendations on advancing the GoU strategic objective to boost the role of tech as the engine of national recovery and economic development; • Conducting a feasibility assessment, which outlines a draft concept of establishing the Governmental Innovation Agency including the functions of the Agency and general setup; • Hosting tech workshops aimed at developing innovative and commercially attractive solutions suitable for the Ukrainian and British markets.
