The provision of data and hardware services for real time water quality monitoring Lot 1: The National Water Quality Instrumentation Service (NWQIS) operates a national, telemetry and web-based data viewer system, provided by Meteor Communications Ltd. This Telemetry, Web Hosting, Services and Equipment contract provides for the purchase of telemetry outstations and the planned and reactive system support and maintenance of the web-based platform on behalf of the EA (NWQIS). This contract also ensures that upgrades are applied to the system to maintain ongoing performance, increased functionality, and enable further integration to the Agencies hydrometry telemetry network.<br/><br/>This system will also supply functionality and data from the Agencies network of real time monitors to the Defra web viewer as part of the agencies commitment to UK Government to provide the public with all our water quality data. <br/><br/>NWQIS determine system functionality and supplier delivery in accordance with an agreed set of performance and resolution criteria. <br/><br/>This system provides services to national and area teams in a wide range of functions across the Agency, Defra partners and stake holders. <br/>It also services and provides income from a range of organisations both commercial such as Thames Water, United Utilities, Southwest Water and the Atomic Weapons Establishment and third sector organisations such as the National Rivers Trusts and Academia.
