9137 Locomotive Carriage lift by Road Crane

Tender description

This Pre Market Consultation is related to IE's requirement to procure the services of crane hire company to lift locomotives and carriages during a major failure scenario in a depot or siding. In this event the mobilisation of a telescopic road crane will be required to enable the unit to be lifted from its stopped position to enable repair works, replacement of components or recovery by road of the failed unit. This will be broken into 3 lots to cover the locations below, and bidders can apply for some or all of these lots: 1. Ballina 2. Drogheda 3. Mallow The contractor will be required to complete the lift operation within 72 hours of notice given by IE.
