ED0340-24 Resurfacing works in Manor Gardens, Exmouth

Tender description

The area in question is the external hard landscaping area around the western half of the Bumble & Bee café in Manor Gardens, Exmouth. It is currently laid with hoggin/self-binding gravel, which unfortunately hasn’t weathered well. Due to rainfall, late last summer large holes and gullies formed, with water taking away chunks of the stone and consequently causing issues with the drains. It also exposed the Corten steel edging that surrounds the area, which are now trip hazards. In the spring and summer months the café place out seating for visitors and customers to use. The area is therefore used heavily, and its condition needs to be rectified safely and effectively. A Loose-fill Impact Absorbing Surfacing (LIAS) material, also known as wet pour, must be used in this project, following suitable ground preparation to the area.
