The River Peffery Restoration – Phase 2 aims to build upon the original remeandering project immediately downstream. The project will restore and enhance a section of the Peffery River and its southern floodplain. This will be achieved by removing sections of its current embankment and remeandering the current straightened section of river through a field to the south while creating a range of wetlands and backwaters.
