Tender description

This is a Request for Information (RFI), not a tendering opportunity. The Authority wishes to identify the commercial market’s ability to tender solutions to meet this future procurement. It will in turn allow the Authority to accurately plan for activities and may assist in deciding the future procurement strategy and scoping of the requirement. The Submarine Valves and Actuators Contract requirement encompasses a number of Valves and Actuators installed onboard Royal Navy’s (RN) Vanguard and Astute class Submarines. The following equipment groups apply: a. First Level Valves; b. Non First Level Valves; c. First Level Actuators; d. Non First Level Actuators. Each Master Equipment is used throughout the Royal Navy’s submarine Fleet. The SDA has a requirement to source supply of consumables and capital spares to support the equipment described above, with all First Level items requiring appropriate Quality Assurance documents, including survey and repair of supporting equipment, plus technical support relating to all in scope equipment. The Valves and Actuators RFI can be found as an attachment to this Opportunity Listing, and the Authority welcomes responses to the questions at Annex A and responses to the information contained within Annex B. The Authority requests that any responses be provided by 17:00hrs 31/01/2025. NOTE - This RFI has been published for the purposes of Market Sounding – understanding the reaction of the market to the proposed requirement. No formal procurement process has been launched. This RFI is for information only and may assist in deciding the future procurement strategy and scoping of the requirement. This request is not a commitment by the UK Ministry of Defence to place an order or a Tender in the future.
