The Authority has insufficient intellectual property rights to the modifications to the equipment and is therefore unable to pass the necessary data and information to undertake the requirement to third parties. Only the extant Contractor is the approved Design Organisation (DO) for the articles and owns the Design Rights for the articles which fulfil the requirement. This technical expertise, together with the ownership of the Design Rights, means that no company other than Helmet Integrated Systems Ltd can carry out the activities required in the time frame specified by the Customer. Helmet Integrated Systems Ltd hold the necessary Design Approved Organisation Scheme accreditation to meet Airworthiness requirements with Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations ensuring continued support of this equipment to the required safely levels.
