The Knights Templar School is seeking a management partner for The Knights Templar Sports Centre, a joint use facility based at The Knights Templar School, Baldock. The facilities include a 4-court sports hall, 41-station fitness gym, exercise studio, 3G artificial turf pitch (floodlit) and 3 grass football pitches. The contract commences in April 2025 and is for 9 years with an option to extend for two additional periods of up to 5 years. The total possible contract duration, including extension provisions will be 19 years. The procurement will be based on a lean single staged process. It is owned by The Knights Templar School (the "School"), a single-site academy trust. The School is a mixed secondary school with Academy status, with c. 1,400 students. The core leisure facility is 2.1.2 Knights Templar Sports Centre is located next to The Knights Templar School and was opened in 2005. The centre consists of dry-side leisure facilities including a 4-court sports hall, 41-station fitness gym, exercise studio, 3G artificial turf pitch (floodlit) and 3 grass football pitches. The School is seeking a partner operator to manage the facility. The facility is used by School students during term time (with community access to health and fitness facilities) and the community at other times.
