Sizewell C, Fuel Procurement

Tender description

Sizewell C requires a fuel supplier to provide fuel for its on-site vehicles and other plant. The scope has been divided into two phases as part of a 5-year contract with Sizewell C. Phase 1: Involves the immediate purchase, storage and distribution of 200,000 litres of fuel to site to cover demand until end of 2025. As well, the design, build, operate and maintain of a fuel distribution facility to be located on site. Works to start 2025 until completion of fuel facility. Phase 2 involves, the ongoing purchase of fuel for site and the refilling of the fuel facility based on fuel demand. This has been estimated at approximately 8-million litres per year from 2026 onwards. Phase 2 will potentially require supplier to hold individual accounts with the supplier to ensure a single fuel supplier for site however this is to be confirmed. To align with SZC environmental aims the site will require both diesel and HVO fuel as well as require suppliers to have a working environmental & safety policy to minimize potential damage to the surrounding environment and SZC Site.
