Tender description
You are invited to tender to undertake the proposed alteration works to install new ASHP and WSHP replace the existing gas fired hot water heaters and work in conjunction with the existing gas heating boilers. <br /><br />The works include, but are not limited to, the following: <br /><br />Supply, installation, test and commissioning of the following items: <br /><br />Disconnection, Strip out and removal from site of: <br /><br /> <br /><br />redundant Gas fired hot water boilers. <br /><br /> <br /><br />Supply and installation of: <br /><br /> <br /><br />New ASHPs and WSHPs buffer vessels, pumps controls, and connection to BMS system <br /><br />New power meter <br /><br />New Electrical supplies and distribution boards. <br /><br />BMS Controls for new equipment <br /><br />New Pressurisation unit to secondary circuits. <br /><br />New pump sets for both primary and secondary circuits. <br /><br />Installation of new concrete base for ASHP. <br /><br />Alterations / extensions to existing plant area to accommodate ne equipment. <br /><br />Domestic water services pipework modifications and diversions <br /><br />Heating pipework modifications and diversions <br /><br />Installation of new calorifiers complete with immersion heaters. <br /><br />BMS modifications to incorporate new plant and new software routines. <br /><br />cables, protection devices, inverters and isolators serving new pumps and equipment. <br /><br />Cable, protection devices and isolators serving the new ASHP and WSHP. <br /><br />New distribution board to serve the new mechanical equipment. <br /><br />New containment to serve the new mechanical equipment. <br /><br />Overhauling of existing AHU’s. <br /><br />Replacement AHU coils, fans and filters. <br /><br />Labelling <br /><br />Testing & commissioning <br /><br />Operation and maintenance manuals <br /><br />As fitted drawings. <br /><br />Training <br /><br /> <br /><br />This list of items is provided for the convenience of Tenderers only and is not considered to replace in any way the requirements and intent of this specification. <br /><br />The Mechanical engineering contractor appointed to carry out the work covered by this specification, shall take full responsibility for all work done and materials supplied by them and for the satisfactory completion of the respective specified work. <br /><br />Should any British Standards or other standards specified have been superseded, the installer shall apply any subsequent standards that are current 3 months prior to the date of return of Tenders. <br /><br />Tenderers are advised to visit the site to ascertain conditions and to satisfy themselves as to the accessibility of the site, the full extent and character of the site, the availability of the works, all local conditions and restrictions. No claims arising from failure to visit the site shall be accepted. Visits shall be made by appointment only, as given in the Contract Data. <br /><br />All equipment shall be selected and provided with the manufacturers guarantee that spare / replacement parts will be available for five years following practical completion. <br /><br />Allow for all on site demonstrations and training to the Building User of all systems at the time of Practical Completion. <br /><br />Typically, all Mechanical services systems shall be designed with an economic life of 25 years.
