Tender description

Gateshead Council, on behalf of the Gateshead Riverside Partnership, which comprises Gateshead Council, Tyne and Wear Building Preservation Trust, National Trust, Newcastle University and Northumbria University would like to appoint a consultant to produce an access audit for Derwent Country Park and including the access to the Park from the mouth of the River Derwent. The Tyne Derwent Way is a blue green corridor which stretches from Gateshead Town Centre to Gibside (National Trust). The project is supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and runs until the 30th March 2025. The audit should consider all existing paths, trails, and access points within this area (TDW boundary). It should consider all users, including but not limited to, cyclists, horse riders, families with young children, dog walkers, runners, individuals with access needs, and all age ranges.
