DCC - Expression of Interest for Parnell Square Project – Phase 1

Tender description

Dublin City Council are seeking to carry out construction works at Parnell Square North for Phase 1 which includes the following works: 1. Construction of a new 5-storey building over basement of approximately 6,100m2 (excluding roof plant space) located at the rear of Georgian Houses nos. 23-28 Parnell Square North, Dublin 1 to form the core of the new City Library. This includes connections to the Georgian House no. 26 and to The Hugh Lane Gallery. 2. The partial renovation/essential works of Georgian Houses nos. 23-28 Parnell Square North, measuring approximately 5,500m2. 3. Restoration of Georgian House no. 26 Parnell Square North of approximately 700m2. This includes the partial refurbishment of no. 27 and roof and basement refurbishment of no. 25. 4. Refurbishment works to the 1930’s wing of The Hugh Lane Gallery, Charlemont House, Parnell Square, Dublin 1 of approximately 2,100 m2 . This includes repair and upgrade of roof works and rooflights to 1930s wing and Francis Bacon Studio, new HVAC systems, cabling and lighting to 1930’s wing and associated BMS and new environmental control lobbies to main and rear entrances.
