LUF Story garden package of works to include Dane John, City Wall and Castle Row car park

Tender description

Canterbury City Council wishes to select and appoint a suitable supplier for the delivery of the works associated with the LUF - Story Gardens in Canterbury district as described within the tender documents. The Council invites tenderers to submit a tender to meet the Council’s requirements. The Contract is anticipated to commence February 2025 and will continue until 1 March 2026 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract In January 2023 Canterbury City Council was awarded £19.9m by UK Government for our bid, Connected Canterbury: Unlocking the Tales of England. We plan to transform Canterbury’s public spaces and heritage to a standard that reflects its status as an international visitor destination and World Heritage Site. Our three project strands are: Transforming heritage assets and spaces - we will protect and repair historic and underused sites in the city. Creating a green arrival experience - we will improve areas visitors see when they arrive in our city. Connecting our heritage - we will create 'story gardens' that tell the story of Canterbury as part of England's history by landscaping existing public spaces to highlight their heritage significance and encourage people to visit.
