Please see below a short description regarding Wiltshire Council Sheltered Housing Schemes For some people sheltered housing can offer an alternative to a care home. The aim is to help older people to live independently. The council can offer self-contained studios, flats or bungalows, often with communal areas such as a lounge, garden, guest room and laundry facilities.
