Tender description

The Submarine Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (SEPIRB) is a radio signalling device released by submerged Royal Navy submarines, designed to transmit distress signals to the surface. SEPIRBs are currently stored onboard all In-Service submarines, and, in a time of emergency, are retrieved from storage and launched. These SEPIRBs are now due to expire between March 2025 and January 2026. Failure to conduct essential maintenance will result in platforms being prevented from going out to sea.
