Refuse Collection Vehicles - Bodywork Refurbishment Programme

Tender description

The scope of this contract covers 2 areas of interest, relating to the 14 x ’68 plate refuse collection vehicles currently owned by RMBC: a) Bodywork refurbishment to effect repairs and fabrication to the structure of the refuse collection body to ensure the intended design and functionality of the vehicle continues to be fit for purpose. b) During the above works, the entire vehicle body is returned to the original standard shade of white as at the point of manufacture. All of the above vehicles are currently painted in a deep purple colour, reflective of a previous corporate livery. The supplier would need to collect and deliver all vehicles from/to Hellaby Depot on a rolling programme of work that includes a free of charge replacement to a similar specification. The supplier would also need to ensure the replacement vehicle is maintained in line with manufacturers recommendations and obligations under goods vehicle operator licensing requirements.
