Tender description

The MCA workforce need to have a high level of understanding of safe working practices, relevant regulations, and training to enable them to confidently and competently survey and inspect both UK and foreign vessels. Adequate training provides the underpinning knowledge to enable the MCA to undertake their duties. This enables compliance with the obligations of the IMO as a Flag State and Paris MoU as a Port State. This is a multi lot tender for the following training courses: LOT 1 - Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic Boat Technology (FRPT) LOT 2 - Fishing Vessel Operations and Gear Technology (FVOGT) LOT 3 - Hull Inspection, Damage and Repair (HIDR) LOT 4 - Inflatable Lifesaving Appliances Servicing (LSA) LOT 5 - Navigation Equipment Awareness Training (NEAT) and Radio Inspection Overview (RIO) and Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) Familiarisation LOT 6 - Wooden Boat Technology (WBT) LOT 7 - Welding and Non-Destructive Examination - Techniques The requirements are being procured via the Light Touch Regime.
