Liverpool City Council is currently considering the viability of a potential emotional health and wellbeing pathway for Children in Care and Care Leavers, providing appropriate therapeutic support and strategies. We are seeking the opinion of providers in this sector who have the expertise. This service is to provide an early help offer to support the young people, and those around them, to have access to mental health support through a dedicated pathway for children in care and care leavers; the total number of children and young people in this category is approximately 1,400. The service may also provide information, advice and training to carers, professionals working with children in care and care leavers.
