Tender description

Generally the works comprise facilitating a rope access inspection for Fairhurst Engineering Geologists (IRATA trained) and undertaking rock slope scaling under the instruction and supervision of Fairhurst Engineering Geologists. Sapling trees require coppicing and eco-plugging where they are growing through existing rockfall netting. The works also include the installation of a permanent access anchor system, removal of redundant electrical cable, removal of soil and vegetation from an area of the bedrock to be encapsulated in rockfall netting, new mortar pointing of open joints in the rockmass, and installation of active rockfall netting with associated fittings and fixings. Lot 1: Historic Environment Scotland is seeking tenders from those who may be interested in carrying out geotechnical works at Edinburgh Castle, works as detailed in the tender documents. Tenders will be evaluated on a Price and Quality basis as detailed in the tender documents.
