Tender description

To remain clinically competitive with both new NHS Wales MR installations and commercial MR Mobile services, Cardiff and Vale UHB required 2 new MR Mobiles. Lot 1: GE Medical Systems Limited were contacted via NHSSC to provide a quote for the upgrade of two SIGNA Voyager IB Options 1.5T EMEA with 3D reconstruction. As they are the original equipment manufacturer of the equipment, they are the sole supplier of the bespoke software required for the upgrade. As such the contract will be directly awarded via the NHSSC framework MRI Scanners 2022 (Contract Reference Number: 2021/S 000-007768).
