Tender description
The aim of the partial review of the Southwark Plan is to reflect the council’s climate emergency and net zero 2030 target. The impact of this will have direct and indirect benefits on health. Direct benefits include improvements to sustainability standards, including overheating considerations in the design of buildings. Indirect benefits include the longer term impacts of reducing carbon emissions and the impact this has on climate change– with clear benefits to public health. The review of the Southwark Plan 2022 to reflect the climate emergency is an action published within the Climate Action Plan and is part of a range of measures that will contribute directly towards lowering the carbon emissions within the borough.
