Tender description
A recent review of the seabed conditions in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) by the Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) identified a high level of variability across different sites. Additionally, the results indicated that for large scale of some commercial farms—covering hundreds of square kilometres— a one-size-fits-all solution may not be feasible. Therefore, the efficiency of site investigation methods for each anchor point needs to be evaluated. Questions such as the practicality of borehole testing for each site versus the adequacy of geophysical assessment need attention. Another consideration is balancing development expenses against the risk of obtaining insufficient data. Keywords: Technical Analysis
