His Majesty's Coastguard Alert Management System (AMS)

Tender description

As part of His Majesty's Coastguard (HMCG) 6 Functions the Alert Management System (AMS) will fulfil Search and Rescue, Maritime Safety, Maritime Accident and Disaster Response and Maritime Environmental Protection and Response. Lot 1: The system will enable a technical transformation of how Coastguard volunteers and Full-time officers receive incident taskings and mobilisation messages. A new system will require training for both Maritime and Coastal and HMCG and would need to be coordinated accordingly. A new system would provide a solution that would provide the following functionality (but not exhaustive): • Auditable data • Data that can be shared with 3rd parties • More efficient tool from a user perspective by minimising time engaging resources and reducing any duplication of effort • The solution would be secure in line with HMCG security requirements • Allows messages and images to be shared in a secured controlled manner • Data is compatible with existing HMCG systems   The new system would need to be in place by the end of 2025 with all users trained accordingly by this time. It is the intention that the ITT will be issued early November 2024 for a 4 + 1 contract duration.
