Tender description

The Electoral Commission is the independent public body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We work to promote public confidence in the democratic process and ensure its integrity. We also use our expertise to make and advocate for changes to our democracy, aiming to improve fairness, transparency, and efficiency. Our voter engagement work aims to promote greater consistency in political literacy education, increase knowledge and understanding of democracy, and increase voter confidence to engage in our democratic system. To date, we have worked with partners to develop a range of resources designed to educate voters and under-registered groups about how to register to vote, ways to vote and changes in legislation (such as the introduction of the voter ID requirement).
