Dublin City Council Contract for Dodder public Transport Opening Bridge Advance Works

Tender description

Dublin City Council seeks to award a Public Works Contract for Civil Engineering Works Designed by the Employer for the construction of the advance works as part of the Dodder Public Transport Opening Bridge (DPTOB) project. The expected duration of the public works contract is 15 months and it will be established with the following services: (a) Construction of the DPTOB Advance Works; (b) Construction of drive shaft for future tunnelling project; (c) Utility survey and diversion; and, (b) PSCS. The Scope includes a full range of Civil Engineering Works preparing for the construction of the Dodder Public Transport Opening Bridge including but not limited to: • The construction of a pile supported concrete slab and sheet pile wall adjacent to the East bank of the River Dodder; • The partial construction of the DPTOB East Abutment; • The construction of a secant pile wall shaft at the interface between the pile supported slab and the existing land. The shaft is to be used for a tunnel crossing of the River Dodder for district heating installations; • Temporary traffic management; • Utility surveys and diversions as required in preparation for the DPTOB Main Contract; • PSCS duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013; • Meetings and liaison with stakeholders as required; • Safety files and As-Built Drawings; and • Handover Reports including any maintenance and operational manuals.
