Tender description
Pre-commercial Procurement (PCP)/ Contracts for Innovation with West Dunbartonshire Council. The Council is continually working to improve energy efficiency and decarbonisation of existing housing stock. The Green Heat Retrofit Innovation Challenge is the latest innovation challenge developed by Scottish Enterprise. This challenge is delivered as part of the Green Heat Innovation Support Programme supporting Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords in the decarbonisation of heat in their social housing stock. Scottish Enterprise are utilising the requirements of social housing providers (Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords) to drive innovation that will support the Scottish Government’s net zero, social housing and economic development policies The aim of this procurement activity is allow organisations to work with West Dunbartonshire Council to develop innovative solutions with a focus on net zero heating and hot water solutions. The initial contract value is in the region on 50,000 GBP. Pre-commercial Procurement (PCP)/ Contracts for Innovation with West Dunbartonshire Council. The aim of this opportunity is to find organisations who will work with West Dunbartonshire Council and Scottish Enterprises on their Can-Do Fund initiative to find and develop innovative retrofit solutions to the problem of net zero heating and hot water solutions suitable for smaller properties and flats, including multi-storey flats. West Dunbartonshire Council is looking to run a potential two-stage procurement process with the aim to appoint a maximum of three contractors to develop a net zero heating and hot water solution. The first stage of the procurement will be to appoint three contractors who have innovative solutions which meet the project criteria with the potential of a second stage that will be to develop a prototype to test and validate for XXXX months. Any adoption and implementation of a solution from this competition would be the subject of a separate, procurement exercise. This competition covers R&D only and not the purchase of any solution.
