Leigh Leisure Centre Audio-Visual Gym Development

Wigan Council invites quotations for the provision of audio-visual design and installation services including ancillary electrical installations as part of the Leigh Leisure Centre gym refurbishment project. Leigh Leisure Centre is situated in the heart of the community ideally positioned for local residents in the catchment area. The most recent gym development was completed in September 2015. With a number of competitors in the immediate area, the upgrade of ageing gym equipment and audio visual is now a priority to grow and retain the current membership but also to attract residents who would not normally engage or access leisure facilities like Leigh Leisure Centre. The brief calls upon interested contractors to develop an appropriate design and specification to meet the requirements. As part of the submission interested contractors should illustrate their design proposals to best explain the design intent and produce a detailed specification outlining a full breakdown of the schedule of works required to deliver the proposed design. The appointed contractor will carry full design responsibility and be responsible for completing all the required electrical testing required to demonstrate a compliant installation. Wigan Council have identified a resource up to £45,000 to support the Audio-visual installations as part of the gym and studio refurbishment project at Leigh Leisure Centre. The design and specification proposed should sit within the maximum budget. The outline delivery programme is for installation to begin week commencing 9th December 2024 with proposed completion by Friday 20th December 2024.
