Fairisle Infant School - Replacement of Below-Ground Drainage

Tender description

This bidding opportunity was for undertaking the full removal and replacement of an identified existing drainage system (and associated works) to a school in Southampton. The works included:- • the removal of pitched fibre foul drainage pipework; • the replacement of a pitched fibre sewer pipe, replacing in pvc-u; • repairs to, and the new installation of, manholes; • the excavation and disposal of contaminated ground, replacing with imported clean backfill; • the tarmaccing of specific areas of playground, footpath and road surface; • the removal of asbestos materials as described within the SWIP; • the survey and flow clearance of any main drainage. all as more specifically described within the full suite of bidding documents.
