Tender description

Scottish Ministers through the Marine Directorate (MD) invites tenders from suitable vessels to undertake servicing of acoustic listening stations in two areas, firstly off the east coast of Scotland, around the Beatrice and Moray East Windfarms and secondly further afield on the East coast should time allow. The MD deploys moorings to enable effective monitoring of migratory fish and marine mammals. These moorings extend no more than 5 meters from the sea bed, have no surface buoy and are normally recovered these via an acoustic release mechanism. On occasion this fails and there is a need to recover the unit via an ROV operated from the vessel. Approximately 16 Moorings require recovery with a Remote Operated Vehicle ROV (separate tender) and replacement units require deployed in 4 locations. Moorings are approximately 100 kgs. Total vessel time require will be up to 9 days. Vessels should be at least 10 meters in length, with a crane, suitably rated and a-frame or similar for deployments.
