Restoration, Capping / Lining and Landfill Gas Extraction of Waste Disposal Cell F and Cell 1E (north) at the Bennadrove Landfill Site. Lot 1: The works comprise of the following: - Earthworks – includes removal of peat, glazier till and fractured rock. - Peat Storage – all removed peat is to be stored in bespoke constructed bays for reuse during closed cell restoration. - Unsaturated Zone – place free draining infill material to form cell base above groundwater level. - Perimeter Bunds – place free draining infill material to form cell perimeter bunds. - Mineral Barrier – place Bentonite Enriched Soil (BES) on cell base. - Basal Liner – place High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) liner on cell base. - Leachate Drainage – place clean aggregate as a drainage blanket on basal liner. - Leachate Collection – place collection chambers and transfer pipework. - Mechanical & Electrical – place electrical cable ducts, pumps, controls and lighting
