Tender description
ECSC for labour, equipment and materials re: the replacement of one tidal flap within the tidal basin at Redoubt Sluice in Dymchurch (the northern flap). The Contractor shall provide a plastic composite flap of the same size and configuration as the existing flap. The new flap shall be shimmed to permit some leakage, so allowing the passage of elvers upstream. The Contractor shall inspect the southern tidal penstock and suggest remediation to remedy a defect; the flap only opens halfway.
