North Northamptonshire Council Provision of Building Cleaning Services 2024-2028

Tender description

The Contractor shall provide a comprehensive Building Cleaning Service across the Council's estate (as detailed in the Service Specification). The Contractor shall take responsibility for cleaning all internal areas including fixtures, fittings, furniture and finishes in a way which minimises degradation, enhances asset life and ensures NNC's high standards and image are maintained. Cleaning will be provided to a range of standards and should be evidence at the start of each business day, or as specified in the specification. Lot 1: The Contractor shall undertake all tasks normally associated with a professional cleaning contract, to ensure that offices, toilets, shower rooms, public areas, meeting and conference rooms and all other working areas, furniture and floor spaces, are maintained to a high level of general cleanliness and remain presentable and fit for their intended purpose. The Contractor shall be responsible for monitoring the provision of the Services on a daily basis to ensure a high quality service is provided. For the avoidance of doubt cleaning of catering areas shall be responsibility of the catering contractor and will not be part of the routine cleaning requirements. The Contractor shall ensure that all personnel and supply chain partners wear the NNC approved attire at all times. The Contractor shall as far as reasonably practicable, specify and use cleaning materials which are not harmful to the Environment.
