Tender description

The Housing Cleaning Services contract will appoint a single service provider to deliver planned and reactive cleaning services including general cleaning, window cleaning, consumables (as an ad-hoc cost only) and washroom provisions (to be discussed with individual service areas). The contract will support the management of the Council’s Housing Estate, including but not limited to the following areas: General Needs Accommodation, Sheltered Housing, Independent Living, Transitional Accommodation, Housing Inclusion, Private Housing and Gypsy and Traveller Sites . The contract will be for an initial period of 5 years, with the option to extend a further 2 years (1+1 year) giving a total contract duration of 7 years. Lot 1: The Housing Cleaning Services contract will provide planned and reactive services for circa 270 Housing properties. The appointed Service Provider will be responsible for: General cleaning , window cleaning, consumables (as an ad-hoc cost only) and washroom provision (to be discussed with individual service areas), monitoring the provision of the services on a daily basis to ensure a high-quality service is provided in accordance with the tender specification and contract. The Service Provider, working with the Council, shall prepare an annual resource schedule of planned activities for each site in scope. The Specification may vary between the sites and building type. Additional requirements for the cleaning of properties that are not part of the current scope may be requested and include but are not limited to void clearances / cleaning and clearing of domestic housing properties, these requests will be on an ad hoc basis. In addition, there may be special requirements for particular establishments on the sites and may be subject to change at the Council's request.
