Provision of Equality Act Compliant Ramps to Residential Properties, North Ayrshire

Tender description

North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) require a contractor to carry out design, supply and installation of Equality Act Compliant steel ramps to residential properties throughout North Ayrshire, as and when required. The ramps should be modular and recyclable and be able to be used throughout other NAC residential properties if necessary. NAC require the service to meet the obligations under the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 and to adhere to the Equality Act 2010. The installation of ramps is part of a wider adaptations service offered by NAC. By installing adaptions to resident’s homes who require additional support NAC can enable local residents to live in a community setting who may otherwise have had to stay in a hospital, care home or required more intensive care packages to support them. Lot 1: NAC are following the quick quote process for this procurement but are opening this to all companies to bid. NAC are using PCS-Tender to conduct this exercise. The anticipated contract start date is 4th June 2024 and a pre-start meeting will be held on 5th June 2024 (subject to availability of all parties).
