CORK COUNTY STRUCTURE REPAIR WORKS CONTRACT 4, 2024 [Establishment of Framework for Structural Repair Works in Cork County Council Administrative Area]

Tender description

This contract will be the repair of an existing structure Kilbarry Bridge (L-60391 Macroom MD) and the establishment of a framework for future structural repair works. The proposed works include the following to Killbarry Bridge: • Grouting of the abutments and arch up to quarter points • Installation of 2no. tie bars at the quarter points of the arch • Installation of 2no. ground anchors at the left-hand side downstream wing wall • Reinforced gunite spray to be applied to the arch, abutments and left-hand side downstream wing wall • Concrete scour repairs to the southwest wing wall and right-hand side abutment • Localised masonry repairs and repointing of the existing arch, spandrel and wing walls as required • Reconstruction of the 2.4m damaged section of the upstream parapet and crack repairs • Taking up the grass verges and replacing them with rubbing strips along the parapets • Surface dressing the bridge and approaches • Act as PSCS for the construction works The framework will run for 2 years with the possibility of extending for a further 2 years at the discretion of the Contracting Authority. It is anticipated framework value of 5.5M excl Vat over the anticipated 4 year duration.
