Severn Trent understands that in order to meet the requirement of Zero Spills in a practical and achievable way, that a combination of technologies and techniques are needed to establish a viable solution. At the request for proposal stage suppliers will be required to submit proposals in line with the one or all of the four categories outlined below. • Support optimisation - particularly (but not limited to) AI and Smart Control across both the waste network and waste treatment • Enable separation - through but not limited to rainwater harvesting, separation of surface water and reuse options. • Provide treatment enhancement or upstream/network treatment • Create smart storage solutions and including temporary and intelligent sewer flushing solutions Lot 1: Network optimisation Support optimisation - particularly (but not limited to) AI and Smart Control across both the waste network and waste treatment. Lot 2: Enable separation Enable separation - through but not limited to rainwater harvesting, separation of surface water and reuse options. Lot 3: Treatment enhancement or upstream/network treatment Treatment enhancement or upstream/network treatment. Creating de-centralised treatment options​ Applied learning from Nature Based Solution trials, "Plug and Play" trials and global best practice. ​ Lot 4: Create smart storage solutions Managing storm load by using AI enabled temporary and permanent storage and sustainable drainage system solutions.
