REPowerEU Schools Energy Inventory Profile Programme

Tender description

The Department of Education has been granted funds from the REPowerEU programme to complete Energy Inventory Profiles of up to circa 3461 schools located within twenty one (21) counties nationwide in Ireland. . Each school is to be visited by an experienced Service Provider who will gather approximately 160 pieces of identified data, which includes high level building areas, types and condition of different fabric elements and information about lighting, heating and domestic hot water, etc. This data is entered on a tablet computer on site and then is imported into the Department’s Geographical Information System (GIS). The project when completed will provide the Department of Education with the ability to dynamically review and interrogate data on up to 3,461 schools in a strategic manner. With completion of the national energy inventory, it will be possible for the Department to be better positioned to complete a national energy and condition profile of the school estate and assess the impact of various energy improvement measures at a sector level. The Department now wishes to establish a framework agreement of suitably qualified Service Providers comprising of a maximum of eight (8) framework participants who be assigned a bundle(s) (circa 100-300 schools per bundle) to undertake these school visits and collect survey data.
