These contracts have been awarded under the FLS-139-D - Deer and Other Wildlife Management Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). These contracts are for the provision of deer and other wildlife management services in the South A and Central A geographical lots of the FLS-139-D DPS. These services will assist FLS in reducing and maintaining deer and other wildlife at sustainable densities across the SNFL through culling in a humane, safe, and cost-effective manner. Lot 3: FLS-158-C (South A) Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) undertakes Deer and Other Wildlife Management on Scotland’s National Forests and Land (SNFL) to protect tree crop and designated sites from the adverse impacts of grazing/browsing herbivores. This protection increases the volume and quality of timber brought to market, enables woodland creation, and protects and enhances biodiversity through habitat protection. The provision of these services assists in the process of managing SNFL and will impact on FLS’s mission to "to look after Scotland’s forests and land, for the benefit of all, now and for the future".
