901_24 Supply of Binder, Storage Tanks and Spray Tankers

This is a Prior Information Notice where the tender documentation is not yet available. However, interest in this opportunity (Expressions of interest) can still be registered (see details of how to complete below). Leicestershire County Council (LCC) is seeking to establish a framework, to assist with the undertaking of surface dressing works during the spring/summer season (mid-April to early-September), by offering a reliable source of binder (supply and delivery), the hire of tanks in which to store it, the hire of tankers (vehicles) with which to lay it. The framework is expected to run for an initial period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further period or periods of 2 years, taking the contract term to a maximum of 4 years. The total estimated value stated includes the option period (including the Spend profile, where an approximate/simple estimate has been applied to spread this out over 4 potentially applicable Financial years, or spring/summer seasons, including the option period). The exact requirements are to be confirmed, however the anticipated main requirements for each surface dressing season are: 1) A reliable source of premium grade binder 2) The hire of two storage tanks (minimum capacity: 54 tonnes) 3) The hire of two spray tankers (carrying capacity: 16-18 tonnes) Depending on LCC's future budgets, LCC may have additional requirements for some or all of the surface dressing seasons from 2026-2028.
