Water-Rock Road Upgrade

Tender description

The Water Rock Road Upgrade comprises of road upgrade/ re-alignment of the existing road over a length of approximately 1.2 kilometres. The indicative extents of the project are shown in the following drawings, included in Appendix 2, noting that the extents are subject to change. 5163809/HTR/P7/DR/0110 to 0114 This project comprises an upgrade and realignment of Water Rock Road (L-3618-0 also known as Castle Rock Avenue) from north of the Water Rock Road level crossing of the Cork to Midleton Railway Line as far as the junction of Water Rock Road and Carrigane Road (L-3617-25). The road upgrade/ re-alignment of the existing road will be over a length of approximately 1.2 kilometres. The proposed road cross-section will be suitable for the anticipated increase in traffic volumes along the road associated with the development of the Water Rock Urban Expansion Area (UEA). Footpaths, segregated cycle facilities, public lighting, surface water drainage, utility diversions and accommodation works will be included in the road upgrade.
