Technical support for the systematic assessment of operator submissions for improvement conditions (ICs) on a national basis

Tender description

The Environment Agency is looking for a supplier who can carry out the systematic assessment of improvement condition reports submitted by waste incinerator operators regarding trials they have performed to reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) from their plants. The improvement conditions require the operators to carry out trials on their selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) systems to see what levels of NOx can be achieved and the corresponding impact on ammonia emissions, along with other cross-media effects. The successful supplier will need to evaluate around 20-25 improvement condition reports and produce summary information, conclusions and recommendations, building on similar work carried out for other reports previously. This is a national project with a start date of 1 October 2024 and finish date of 15 March 2025.See the Request for Quotation document for more detail.
