British Rail Class 15x Alternator supply, overhaul and spares

There are three aspects to the agreement to be awarded. 1. The Supply of 10 new alternators as per the current design installed across Northern's 15x fleets. These spares will help reduce the strain on the available alternators that have to go through repairs which in turn means less units are stopped awaiting alternator repairs which increases unit availability. 2. Provisions to buy required spares for general maintenance that Northern are responsible for undertaking. 3. Provisions for overhauls and warranty repairs carried out by Elite in line with their procedures covering; 1. Mid-life overhaul 2. Full life overhaul 3. Casualty Repair/ In-Warranty Repairs Lot 1: Elite KL are the OEM & designer of the alternator that has been installed across NTL's 15x fleet in line with the Rolling Stock Owners (ROSCO) instructions. As to ensure the 15x fleets can operate in service the alternator has to be operational and therefore Northern are looking to contract with Elite to provide various services.
