Aberystwyth Natural Terrain for Unconstrained Robotics - Supply of Automatic Gates

We are seeking bids to deliver 14 automatic field gates to be deployed on land managed by the University around Cwm Ystwyth, near Aberystwyth.The gates shall be standard 12-foot field gates modified to provide the following functionality. More details are provided in the following sections. A gate needs to automatically open when a recognised vehicle arrives at the gate and then automatically close when the vehicle leaves the gate area. The gate shall not open when an unrecognised vehicle approaches but must provide a mechanism to manually open it, as well as provide a way to fit a padlock to the gate to prevent its opening. Remote operations must also be provided, using LoRaWAN. The status of the gate must be reported when its status changes and on a regular basis (configurable), using LoRaWAN. Similarly, the passing of a recognised vehicle must be reported, using LoRaWAN. The gates must be self-powered (using solar panels). The gates must be safe to animals and humans.
