Tender description

The building serves as the District Veterinary offices for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and is used by both staff and members of the public. The building is two-storey, on a sloped site, with public access to the south and lower ground floor level, and staff access to the north, on the upper ground floor level. A public carpark is located to the front (south) of the building, and a staff carpark is located to the rear (north) of the building. General Description of the Works: The project comprises: 1. Construction of a 2 storey extension containing lift, lobby and accessible toilet at each level. 2. Internal alterations to improve accessibility including • Refurbishing toilets; • Refurbishing Canteen to provide accessible units; • Altering corridors to provide turning areas to improve accessibility; • Altering reception desk to provide accessible section. • Provision of temporary prefabricated staff toilet facilities 3. Siteworks to include accessible parking spaces, drainage, access bridge. The project will entail works within in an existing public building, which will be required to remain in operation.
