Tender description

The Southside is one of 15 successful projects in Hereford’s Town Investment Plan, awarded £22.4 million from HM Government’s Stronger Towns Fund. The project will provide a vibrant, inspiring and inclusive sports, food and skills community destination for the people of South Wye and Hereford. It is a ground-breaking initiative to transform 35 acres of green space on the southern edge of the city into sport pitches and community gardens for the local community and schools, offering residents a place to connect, to relax, to participate in sport, to grow produce, eat healthy food and be inspired to learn and educate. It has been developed by the community, for the community, brought to life by two local partners: Belmont Wanderers FC and Growing Local CIC. The purpose of this Expression of Interest and Suitability Questionnaire is to produce a tender list of no more than four suitably qualified main contractors to progress to the next stage and to tender for the delivery of this project. Interested parties should note the assessment criteria in section 3 of the document which will form the basis for the final list of selected bidders. Herefordshire Council is the Accountable Body for the Stronger Towns grant programme. However this expression of interest is hosted on behalf of the organisations noted above and any subsequent procurement process and contract award will be between the bidders and Growing Local CIC/Belmont Wanderers FC in their capacity as client. Herefordshire Council will have no part in the review or selection of prospective bidders, the procurement process itself or the subsequent award and execution of the contract.
