Tender description

Jisc’s Equipment Data Service platform harvests and aggregates a range of university and research facility equipment catalogues. The service enables searching across all published UK research equipment databases through one aggregation portal allowing greater accessibility with the aim of improving efficiency and stimulating greater collaboration in the sector. There is now a need to now understand how we can optimise the data quality and flow from institutional systems and equipment suppliers to improve data harvesting and reduce bureaucracy. Therefore, Jisc is seeking to discover where in the institutions are the sources of truth for equipment data records and how can we best get this information out.
