Kilnbridge have secured the HS2 Old Oak Common Station Works Package WP13.1-Urban Realm Civils, Utilities and Earthworks. Part of this scope requires the installation of permanent sheet piles, extraction of existing sheet piles, installation and extraction of temporary works sheet piles. There is an interface with Transport for London (TfL) assets on the Northern boundary and the subcontractor will be working under a controlled working environment (ALO) and in the case of the permanent piles within Tfl land. The extraction of the existing sheet piles are within the HS2 OOC site and interfaces with overhead lines to the East and fall within the rail interface zone. Experience of working in the rail environment and a proven ability to develop methodology collaboratively around this key interface, produce works package plans and operate in a rail environment is a prerequisite of being considered for these works. Permanent Sheet Piles 12m long, S355 Arcelor AZ(20-700) sheet pile, or similar. Extraction Piles 260m of EZ19-700 GRADE S355. 10 to 12m depth. To the South there is a requirement for temporary sheet piles to allow construction of the permanent RC Attenuation Tanks. This will require numerous visits to install and remove as construction is split into two phase. These works do not fall with the zones of influence of the operational railway. Temporary Sheet Piles GU21 sheet piles or similar 8m and 12m Installation of sheet pile are to commence Q1 2025 and will require numerous visits to complete in late Q1 2027.
